I have exactly one month of working for Western left. I’m not sure how I feel. It’s been fun, I’ve been severely underpaid but I’ve gained a lot of knowledge and it’s become comfortable and even enjoyable most of the time. Maybe it being over will bring me something new and exciting and hopefully, something someplace else.

Fun little quiz for you design geeks like me.
Solar Roadways could change America’s energy and transport infrastructure forever, but currently it’s a pipe dream. An ambitious and undeniably genius pipe dream.
Any progress is good progress. It’s always good to hear of promising new breakthroughs against HIV.
Though Internet Explorer has been panned for lack of web-standard compliance, many are forced to use the browser because of stubborn IT departments. Fortunately, Google has issued its latest “up…
So I started setting up a venn diagram tumblr the other day. I hadn’t settled on a name but finally thought that I should go with fuckyeahvenndiagrams, which a couple days ago was free but it is now taken. I’m sad, very, very sad.
There’s been lots of rumors about a Wii HD or Wii 2 as of late. I’d imagine the almost confirmed $50 price drop has only been fueling these rumors. Well, my random thought of the day is, if the Wii HD is real, will it allow you to easily transfer your data from an original Wii?
Every time a guy makes a mistake in bed, Scott Baio is there to make everything right again.
Lured by millions of dollars in prize money, teams of private firms aren’t waiting for NASA to figure out if, when and how to get back to the moon. They’re preparing to go themselves.

Interesting bill here, I remember talking to Abby’s brother about how his mechanic couldn’t fix something on his BMW without an outrageously expensive diagnostic machine.
I got a raise today. Hell ya extra $2/hr!
Interesting implications here, could be great for games and stuff but could really suck if ads start using my graphics card. It’s so nice to see the webkit team making such good progress implementing upcoming standards, that’s why I use their nightly builds.
This movie was definitely a Tarantino film. It has his vibe all over it. I was surprised at how much liberty was took with re-writing history. I actually found that part a bit refreshing and also oddly strange at the same time. While this was a WWII movie, it basically just took the idea of the war and Nazis and then made up the rest, which was kind of cool. My biggest beef with the movie was that it left me wanting to know more about the inglorious basterds. There was a large chunk of the film dedicated to this Jewish girl and her revenge story that was almost boring and would have been better if it was de-emphasized and the story spent more time with the basterds. Overall though it was worth watching, especially if you enjoy Tarantino.
It’s nice to see advances in space travel that aren’t dictated by the bureaucracy that is NASA these days.

This is absolutely hilarious.
I feel a weather change coming on, it feels like someone kicked me in the face, repeatedly. Stupid sinuses!
Some nice points in this.
This movie was great, it totally lives up to the hype. It’s put together well, making use of the faux documentary style weaved in and out. I really enjoyed the story line, sure it was aliens but a completely different take on alien than you normally see. It drew some great parallels to human issues and the special effects were spot on. I found the aliens to be very believable. There was a fair bit of action thrown in too. Definitely check this one out.
Taking Woodstock was a rather enjoyable movie. It was a good story that touches on something as legendary as Woodstock without becoming a documentary. There is one strange acid trip orgy scene that seems a bit out of place, but I suppose acid trips always are so maybe that was ok. Overall though it was fun to watch and I was never bored or disappointed. It’s not this year’s best film but it’s far from the worst.

I knew it!
The amount of times I’ve seen the stupid Windows commercials on Hulu. It’s funny because I’m completely NOT the target audience, and every commercial I have to watch is lots of money they are wasting, and that makes me giggle like a school girl.
Space power, sweet action!
These are fantastic!
So I have this somewhat random theory… I think in addition to the rumored iPod refresh (I definitely see this being true btw) I think there could be a huge announcement for the iTunes catalog. I think it MIGHT, just MAYBE be possible that the Beatles could finally join the iTunes store. That’s the day they release The Beatles: Rockband and I think soon (maybe the same day?) they are re-releasing all their records so it could, possibly happen… Just a thought.
