I HAVE to go to this.
Can you change the font to something kinda funky? It has to be funky.

Haha, I’ve totally had this happen. Word for word.
Harvey's on the Mall (3/5) on Yelp →
I really love the atmosphere of the outdoor deck but I’d be lying if I said the food was awesome. The menu has common bar foods but overall the food just seems lackluster. I enjoy their brick oven…
Den the (4/5) on Yelp →
The Den is a staple of any WMU student’s life. College students are notoriously thirsty and poor but The Den has you covered with their humungous and cheap Den Pops or their wide selection of…
Colonial Kitchen Pancake House (2/5) on Yelp →
Apparently people love this place but I’ve never had a very good experience there. I’ve tried it multiple times (in their old and new space) thinking that maybe it was just a bad day but each time I…

I’ve been having a little fun with Yelp and Foursquare lately. I just received my first “useful” and my first “cool” on one of my yelp reviews. That made my day. Also, I don’t have many friends on either service, so if you’re on it let me know.

Shawarma King (5/5) on Yelp →
Looking for something off the beaten path? Well this certainly is a delicious change from the norm. I’m not sure how to pronounce a lot of the menu items but I sure do enjoy eating them. My top pick…
Just Good Food (4/5) on Yelp →
I’m glad I was turned on to this place as it is a great little place tucked away in a basement downtown. All of the food I’ve tried has been wonderful. I was a bit overwhelmed by the number of…
Rave Motion Pictures (5/5) on Yelp →
This is my favorite theater. It’s up to date with stadium seating and large screens with digital projection that can’t be beat. I pretty much esclusively use the Rave to watch movies now. Their…
Olde Peninsula Brewpub (3/5) on Yelp →
I’d like to give this place more stars but I’ve had horrible service here on multiple occasions. I like the food and the beer is pretty good too. The brew dip is absolutely delicious. If you luck…
Main Street Cafe (4/5) on Yelp →
This place isn’t anything fancy but sometimes that’s what makes it better. I’m a fan of everything I’ve had there. The service is friendly and prices are very reasonable.
Tim Hortons (4/5) on Yelp →
Tim Horton’s has decent baked goods, tasty sandwiches and great coffee. But the best thing on their menu is their iced cappuccinos. I’m always in the mood for an iced cap, so it’s a good thing their…
Asiana Restaurant (4/5) on Yelp →
It’s no secret Monroe isn’t all that ethnic so you’ll be pleasantly surprised by the quality of Asian cuisine you’ll find here. This is hands down the best Asian you can get in Monroe. I’ve never…
Fino's Family Restaurant (4/5) on Yelp →
This is a great place. Their menu is full of tasty options but you’ll definitely be satisfied by their famous broasted chicken. It’s not gourmet food but it’s delicious and worth stopping in.
Tiffany's Pizza (5/5) on Yelp →
This is some of the highest quality pizza I’ve come across. Tiffany’s is an affordable, locally owned pizza chain that really knows their pies. I’m always happy with the pizza and sometimes crave…
Delta Coney Island (3/5) on Yelp →
The food here is good and the menu is pretty standard for a coney island. The service is a little hit or miss though. Sometimes it’s great and other times you feel pretty much ignored, even if it…

This sounds like the ultimate game of bigger better. I’d say he did much better than the time we turned a can of soup into a foosball table.

I have to remember to look and see if there is an Android app that does this. It’s pretty much genius, I would even be willing to spend a buck or two on it.

I think I've rediscovered my love of Degrassi
I finally got to watch the NY Movie and the first few episodes of season 10 and it’s finally pretty good again. It’s still not as good as the beginning (or the over-the-top-but-oh-so-stellar season 4) but I want to watch it again.

I posted a review of Inception but it somehow got lost in the interwebs. I don’t feel like rewriting it all over again right now. Inception is a great movie, go see it. If you need more reasons, stay tuned and my review will be posted (hopefully) again soon.
Next-gen PT Cruiser imagined despite car's demise... →
If this had come out a few years ago, hell even this year, it could have saved the PT Cruiser (and maybe even helped Chrysler a bit). I would have taken a look at them. The original PT Cruiser was great and exciting back in it’s day. It just got stale and something like this could have kept it interesting.
I never realized how many free MP3s were on Amazon. I’ve been downloading like mad on my Droid. Some good stuff too.
My bestie is moving to FL so soon!
abbyabbyabby:
I don’t know what I’ll do without him.
Move to SF, it’s the only logical thing to do. Plus my bestie is moving to Battle Creek, I’ll never see him again. I hear that BC is the blackhole of MI. True Story. Let’s move.
Kindle for Android
I have too say that I kind of dig the Kindle app om my droid. I’m currently reading a free collection of Sherlock Holmes stories. I like always having it near and being able to start and stop as I please. I haven’t been much of a book reader lately but this could change my mind, especially at the price of free.

Essential Android Apps Part 2
I hope you enjoyed the first part of my essential Android list. Here is the second edition. Wifi Analyzer Now I was surprised at the number of steps it took to get connected to wifi on my phone and then that it didn’t auto-connect when I’d come back to a hotspot. Maybe I just missed something but this app definitely filled a void for me. It will alert you when you are near open...

Essential Android Apps Part 1
I’ve only had the Motorola Droid for a few days now but I’ve already discovered some essential apps. All of these apps listed are free so there’s really no excuse for you not to have them.
chompSMS This one is great. It replaces the standard message app with a much prettier version that might remind you of a certain other phone platform.

How Android has effected my life.
My computer usage has been easily cut in half. I often find myself checking messages and emails on my phone instead of pulling out the laptop. That’s also partly why I haven’t been posting as often (the other part would be my lack of time and traveling). There doesn’t seem to be a really good (and free) application for Tumblr. I love my Motorola Droid a lot and it’s new so...

The timing on this couldn’t be better. I’m going to take a close look at this and hopefully create something.
I bought a Motorola Droid on ebay and activated it today. I love it. More details to come.

Verizon is giving my a birthday present in the form of 4G. Thanks Verizon, but what I really want is an iPhone, even if it’s only 3G.

Just a quick update: I’ve been in San Francisco this past week but I am now home in Kalamazoo. I’ll post about that wonderful experience later but I wanted to wish everyone a happy Canada Day. I’m getting this one just under the wire.
