Someone really should tell Sprint the difference between GSM and CDMA. Apparently they’ve already forgotten what it’s like to merge two cell phone providers on different networks (looking at you Nextel, I hear that wasn’t as easy as they thought). I don’t see a huge upside to this other than being a larger 3rd place network instead of a 3rd place and 4th place network. I wonder if they’ll stick to pink or yellow. Will it be T-Sprint? Someone wake me up when real cell phone news happens, speaking of, where the hell is that Thunderbolt on Verizon (a network that matters)?
Those who are interested can download my What’s Trump / Scorekeeping Android app. It’s basically a euchre buddy (thinking about renaming it to that actually). You can set your current trump and keep score of the game. It’s simple but very handy. You’ll need to go to Settings > Applications and check “Unknown Sources” to install it.
I would love any feedback. I’ve only tested it on a Moto Droid 1. What do you think?
So I tinkered a bit more with my what’s trump app and it’s pretty darn slick now. I’ve added a score keeper and put in some nice graphics. There is one or two small visual things I’d like to iron out but it’s pretty darn close to a finished product. This leads me to a beef with the App Inventor. When it’s all said and done, you can’t send it to the market. Which ok, isn’t that huge, I can still download it to my computer and share it with friends. My huge beef is that you can’t customize your app’s icon. How lame is that? Am I completely missing something or can you really not make a custom app icon?
Ok I’m probably getting my hopes up way too high but there certainly is a lot of these rumors and lots of “evidence” that it could be happening. If this is just for the tablet and not the iPhone too I might cry. Only a couple more days and we’ll know I guess.
