Enough already.

If I hear someone say “We are a Christian nation” one more time I’m going to throw up. If they’re in front me, I’m likely to punch them in the face. We are NOT a Christian nation. We are a nation that was meant to be open and accepting of people from all different background with all different types of views and beliefs. I’m so sick of politicians and loonies out there trying to shove their narrow-minded agendas in my face. The worst part is how ironic it is. They’re billing themselves as these by-the-book Christians but all they do is spread hate and use just the parts of the book they want. How is that “Loving thy neighbor?” If you’re against something like gay marriage or abortion, fine, you are entitled to your opinion. You are NOT entitled to push your views on everyone else. The only way our great American experiment works is if people stop trying to make other people the same as them. Embrace our differences, allow people to think for themselves and stay out of personal lives. The same people who say they are for less government are the ones calling for defining marriage with strict laws. I’m not bashing Christians (or any religion). I truly believe you should have whatever (or no) religion that you choose. I’m just saying that I can’t be the only person witnessing all of the hypocrisy. So do the right thing, not the “right’s” thing and truly stand up for America. The real America where people can be who they are and practice the life they want without fear or persecution.
