Our friends over at We are not Martha just posted a perfect fall treat for the beer-lover - Pumpkin Beer Pretzels with two dipping sauces!
I would LOVE to try this!
It was a rather lackluster fall season. Maybe mid-season replacements will be good?
I’ve been diligently trying to catch up on this past week’s fall TV premiers. Man, there sure are a whole lot of new shows this year. I’m not extremely impressed with most of them though. I really enjoyed Undercovers and it has a good chance to be the big breakout hit of the rookie crowd. Miami Vice and The Whole Truth were better than I expected but still not amazing. Like I normally do, I plan to give the shows three episodes before any final judgement but I think it’s safe to say Shit my Dad Says and Outsourced probably won’t be sticking around past the third episode.
Sundays don’t look all that interesting to me. I suppose you’ve got The Simpsons and Family Guy and it’s spinoff The Cleveland Show, but honestly, I don’t think I’ve watched Family Guy since it came back. I’m just over it. I never caught up with last year’s Desperate Housewives either so I probably will just skip Sunday TV too unless Three Rivers turns out to be good. It’s nice to see some new medical dramas, maybe they can start to fill the void that ER left. I will miss that show.
Like to go out on Saturdays? Well, at least you won’t miss anything on TV. Saturday TV sucks.
Fridays I’ll be checking out Southland (or more accurately, probably the next day online). That’s about it, although just a side note, I’m surprised Dollhouse got picked up for a second season.
Thursday brings the return of Grey’s Anatomy. Sure, it’s ridiculous but I’ve seen the first 5 seasons, what’s one more? Also, the first few episodes are sans-Meredith, or as I like to call it better. Thursday also brings Fringe, here’s to hoping it’s sophomore season is as good as its freshman. One of my new picks is FlashForward, it seems pretty interesting but I could see it being rather cheesy too. I’ll just have to see. I probably will check out Community too, I mean c’mon, community college? That’s comedy, or so we can hope.
